Leon County School Board Member Darryl Jones, a proud alumnus of Florida A&M University (FAMU), will deliver the keynote address at FAMU's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at 10:10 a.m. in Lee Hall Auditorium.
Jones, a notable orator, community organizer, and champion of education, is set to inspire the campus community with his reflections on Dr. King’s enduring legacy. A proud native of Clearwater, Fla., Jones graduated from FAMU with a degree in English and is a recipient of the FAMU National Alumni Association President’s Award for Business and Community Service. He is also a distinguished alumnus of Leadership Tallahassee Class XX. Jones has consistently championed meaningful change and inspired others to join him in building a stronger, more equitable community.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation at FAMU is an annual event that brings together students, faculty, staff, and community members to honor the legacy of Dr. King.
