FAMU Athletics has hired Dennis Driscoll as its new Senior Associate Athletic Director for Brand Advancement, a role central to amplifying the visibility and reputation of Rattler Athletics. Driscoll, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in collegiate sports branding, joins FAMU from Alabama State University, where he served as Associate Athletic Director for Social Media and Creative Content.

Driscoll's vast resume includes leadership roles at Northern Colorado University, Stephen F. Austin State University, Jackson State University, and New Mexico State University where he developed extraordinary campaigns that increased athletic department engagement and revenue. He has also served as a sports reporter and sports editor for the Kerney (Nebraska) Hub and the Custer County Chief (Broken Bow, Neb) newspapers.

In his new role at FAMU, Driscoll will spearhead strategic communications, media relations, and digital engagement initiatives to elevate the Rattlers athletic programs. “I want to build upon the past successes of the athletics department,” said Driscoll. “We will continue to win championships, and I aim to support our student-athletes and coaches by leveraging every platform available—from local media partnerships to national exposure opportunities.”

Driscoll emphasized the potential of FAMU’s robust social media presence, noting, “We have a tremendous following online and can serve as our own media outlet, sharing our stories directly with fans.” His vision aligns with FAMU’s broader goals of enhancing brand loyalty and fostering community connections.

His expertise in creative content and digital strategy is expected to drive innovation at FAMU.

Driscoll expressed gratitude toward FAMU VPAD Angela Suggs, stating, “I’m appreciative of this opportunity and admire Angela’s bold vision for the department.” The hire reflects Suggs’ commitment to positioning FAMU Athletics as a leader in both competitive excellence and brand innovation.

As the Rattlers prepare for upcoming seasons, Driscoll’s appointment signals a renewed focus on storytelling, fan engagement, and national recognition—allowing the impact of the Rattlers' strike to be seen and heard far beyond the field.
