Five foot six inch Leon Camel is no stranger to Rattler Football. The affable Camel is "the little man with a lot of heart" and a million dollar smile.
A senior, Camel began his FAMU career as a walk-on and played six games in 2006 for the Rattlers throwing a total of 56 passes and completeing 31 for 366 yards. So far this year, Camel has completed 9 of 23 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown and run for two more in limited action.
Camel, who has a rocket launcher for an arm, played his high school football at Palm Beach County's Glades Central High School.
Redshirt freshman Eddie Battle moves up to second team at quarterback.
We're behind you Leon. We know that you are capable of leading our football team. Hang in there and keep the football team focused. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI hope he stays healthy...the other QB is really inexperienced.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've seen Camel seems to be a major contributor.
ReplyDeleteI welcome him to the starting lineup.
Camel is from Belle Glade, Florida and there is a unique spirit and teamship development in the Glades. Not only that, all of his brothers played football and he's the youngest of 10. Do your thang Leon!
ReplyDeleteLeon is one of the nicest young men you will ever meet.
ReplyDeleteI like ACII but Leon is a hard working young man who is gonna give us every thing he can.
Good luck Son. God knows
Good luck Leon and teammates. We have all the confidence in the world in your ability to lead us to the championships. God did not put you in this position to leave you hanging. You walked on, worked hard, and appreciated the opportunity to play for the Rattlers. You have been very supportive of your teammates and I know you will do well. We will be rooting for you and the Rattlers this weekend. Please do not be distracted by bitter teammates or negative blog posters.
ReplyDeleteLeon Camel is the man!!!
Let's go Camel. We have been pulling for you all year so let's show them who the real QB was!
