FAMU student journanlist will cover the Florida Legislature for a group of small panhandle newspapers. The students --- mostly seniors majoring in journalism--- will operate what they are calling "Your Capitol Bureau"and each student reporter will write news stories about what the Legislature does that directly affects citizens in his or her assigned county.
This is the eighth year the Florida A&M Division of Journalism has operated Your Capitol Bureau.
good experience
ReplyDeleteGood involvement in the region.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely wonderful! FAMU's J-School is putting its resources to work for small counties that don't have much money to invest in reporting. YCB is a case-in-point example of FAMU's mission to create opportunity for those who have the least.
ReplyDeleteDr. Gale A. Workman is a first-rate professor and role model. She's doing an outstanding job!
