Back in 2011, FAMU Athletics reported that the university was negotiating an $850,000 guarantee to play Ohio State at its home stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The finalized game contract, signed by FAMU’s interim president on November 1, 2012, shows that the Rattlers succeeded in netting $50,000 more than the previously announced figure. FAMU’s will earn a total of $900,000 from the September 7, 2013 football matchup.

FOX Sports Wisconsin.com obtained and posted the contracts for all the Football Champion Subdivision-Big Ten contests scheduled for 2013. FAMU’s guarantee will be the largest. Youngstown State will land the second biggest check for its September 14 game against Michigan State.

Big Ten programs will shell out a combined total of $4,945,000 to visiting FCS teams this football season.
