FAMU is set to celebrate its 2024 Fall Commencement Ceremonies with two distinguished keynote speakers: Malinda Williams, actress, author, and founder of the Arise And Shine Foundation, Inc.; and Marc H. Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League. The ceremonies will take place on December 13-14 at the Al Lawson Multipurpose Center.
Williams will address graduates on Friday, December 13 at 6 p.m. ET. Known for her celebrated career in television and film, Williams has successfully transitioned into the world of philanthropy and web development. Her journey exemplifies resilience and adaptability, making her an inspiring figure for the graduating class.
Morial will speak on Saturday, December 14 at 9 a.m. ET. As a visionary leader of the National Urban League, Morial has dedicated his life to public service, previously serving as a Louisiana state senator and mayor. His extensive experience and leadership in civil rights make him a valuable voice for the graduates as they embark on their next chapter.

Their wisdom and experiences will undoubtedly provide invaluable guidance as our graduates embark on the next chapter of their journeys.”
Over 700 students from FAMU’s 14 schools and colleges are expected to receive their degrees during the ceremonies. The December 13 ceremony will include graduates from the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences, College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities & Military Commissioning, School of Architecture and Engineering Technology, School of Journalism & Graphic Communication, School of the Environment, and School of Nursing. The December 14 ceremony will feature graduates from the College of Education, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences-Institute of Public Health, School of Allied Health Sciences, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, College of Science and Technology, College of Law, and School of Business and Industry.
