The FAMU Marching 100 has emerged as one of the top two Division I bands to compete in the 2024 ESPN HBCU Band of the Year competition. The Marching 100 is set to take on last year's champion, the North Carolina A&T State University Blue and Gold Marching Machine, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on December 13, 2024, as part of the Cricket Celebration Bowl weekend.
