Faculty: Presidential Search is Fixed! In another of the year long forums/"focus groups" held by the Presidential (non)Search Committee to gain input into some of the qualifications FAMU's next leader should have, the few faculty who bothered to show up last night turned the tables on the committee by asking Trustees what what was their vision for the University for the next 5-10 years? "In order to bring in a general, I want to know the battle he's going to fight," said retired math professor Osiefield Anderson.
The group of about twenty facutly and staff members who participated said that more of their colleagues would have participated , but there is the general feeling that the search is fixed, so why bother.
