Florida A&M will open its new $6.8 million Student Recreation Center on May 15th. The new center is located on the corner of Wannish Way and Osecola Streets (next to the old Dairy). At 39,000 sq. ft., the facility is seven times larger than the current student recreational space.

  1. Nice building from the picture.

But wouldn't a grand opening be better served when the majority of the faculty and students have returned in the Fall?

Why are we always being so exclusive as oppose to inclusive?

Including everyone, especially those that this facility was intended for would be better PR then a handful of people.

It seems like Castell waited until everyone left to have the opening. I don't get it. Who's advising her?

  2. This building looks likes somebodies house set on a hill. It looks nothing like the rest of the campus.

  3. What happened to the landscaping?

Damn we are beginning to look these other HBCus located in the ghetto.

The journalism school looks pitiful also.

Can we get some landscaping going on so these buildings won't look to drab?
