McGriff named Preseason All-American

Florida A&M junior defensive end Tyrone McGriff has been named to The Sports Network 2006 Preseason Division I-AA All-America team.

McGriff, a 6-1, 220-pound end from Tallahassee, Florida, was a first-team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference pick a year ago as well as a preseason All-MEAC choice in 2005.

The lightning quick, rangy youngster, finished the 2005 campaign with 72 total tackles (34 solos), along with 13.5 tackles for loss (72 yards), 6.5 quarterback sacks (47 yards), five (5) forced fumbles and three (3) recovered fumbles for 22 return yards.
