In its annual college football preview, special section, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper named the FAMU Marching 100 as the nation's best.
Here's a sample of what the AJC had to say, "Florida A&M is a traditionally black university with an enrollment of more than 12,000 and an even bigger sound. With a 60-person percussion section — and a total membership of around 300 — the band is renowned for its combination of music and flair. It has proven that a marching band can be hip.
There are many good bands across the college football landscape, but at FAMU, said White, "They aren't the ones that drive us on. Ours is the pressure to maintain our own showmanship and musicality."
