A new hearing date has been set in the case of the five Kappa Alpha Psi members accused of hazing. The new trial is set to begin on December 11. Attorneys decided on the date at a hearing in the Leon County Courthouse on Monday.

The trial is expected to last one week.

The case first went to trial Sept. 27. However, jurors were unable to reach a verdict and a mistrial was declared.

  4. Many of you thought that a conviction was a foregone conclusion the first time simply because "da man" said these boys were guilty. Those of us who watched the trial saw the defense attorneys destroy the prosecution's star witnesses. I'm predicting not guilty in the retrial.

  5. It is a shame these kids have to go through this additional expense of retrial. Hey they couldn't convict them on the first time out, let them go!
