No progress on Teaching Gym or DRS

Nearly one year after FAMU broke ground on a new teaching gym and new facility for University School ( Oct. 2, 2005) nothing has been done. The location for the University School remains a barren lot and the location for the teaching gym remains a grassy lot.

The longer FAMU takes to start construction on theses projects the more they will cost. Construction delays could reduce the size of the projects.

  1. Didn't the petition writers cite the lack of progress on the Teaching Gym/DRS Building projects as one of the reasons that Fred Gainous needed to be fired?

    Where are they now???

  4. The DRS school needs to be shut down. It was a reputable school back in its day, the middle class school for blacks, actually, but it has now succumbed to a hodgepodge of mismanagement, poor student grades, low student performance on standardized tests, scripted teaching, low performance standards, and parents who expect a miracle of their children when they, the parents, don't reinforce academics at home. I think the school needs to be shut down permanently. CVB doesn't give a hoot about the school and the deans--excluding the new dean of the COE--don't know and haven't known what the hell is and has been going on over there for centuries, including, but not limited to JMS, who didn't and doesn't know what's the deal over there. JMS doesn't even have any business BEING any kind of dean, assistant or otherwise. Only reason: SM, the matriarch. I saw tear the roof off the sucka, tear the roof off the sucka, tear the roof off the sucka.

  5. A little off subject, but if you wonder what has happened to our recruitment program, take a look at THIS.
