The Hampton Pirates proved too much for the FAMU Rattlers tonight as they coasted to an easy 59-7 win before a sparse crowd in Bragg Memorial Stadium last night. The win gave the Priates their third consecutive MEAC Championship with a 10-1 overall record, 7-1 in the MEAC, while the Rattlers dropped to 6-4, 4-2 heading into next week's Florida Classic in Orlando.
Hampton's offense had no problem moving the ball, as they racked up 410 yards of total offense, compared to the Rattlers s157 total yards.
The Rattlers played without starting linebackers Vernon Wilder, Dannel Shepard and Michael McMillan and starting center Steven Brazzle.
well i did stay to the end of the game despite all the rain cause im glad to be a student, even though i might be going to Jackson State University. Even though we lost against Hampton, we will still end with a winning season cause Bethume-Cookman will be a breeze cause they haven't got their lives together lossing to Howard and Morgan State, yep this will be a magical classic, any ways FAMU WILL BE CHAMPIONSHIP QUALITY NEXT YEAR, I BET THAT LOOK AT THE STATS LAST YEAR WE WERE 6 AND 5, THIS YEAR WE WILL END 7 AND 4 SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE ARE GETTING BETTER AND BETTER, I'LL RATHER HAVE A WINNING SEASON THAN A LOOSING SEASON ANY DAY, SO YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DOING COACH CARTER, CAUSE FROM WHAT I CAN RECALL LAST YEAR WE HAVENT HAD A WINNING SEASON SINCE 2001 SO THIS IS A GOOD SIGN. I WAS GLAD THE BAND DECIDED TO STAY TO TE END EVEN THOUGH THEY WAS ABOUT TO PUNK OUT AT ON POINT AND RUN AWAY.
ReplyDeleteThe Band has instruments that cost Gs and although some can get wet a little bit, others should never get wet or be ruined.
ReplyDeleteThis for that very important piece of information. I myself was ignorant to this.
ReplyDeleteWho does Carter think he is not allowing the drum majors or cheerleaders to use the locker room in the field house; they are athletes too and much better than Carters football recruits
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't go that far. The cheerleaders suck most of the games. If the football bench doesn't get hype, the crowd is left to lead the charge.
ReplyDeleteWho does Carter think he is not allowing the drum majors or cheerleaders to use the locker room in the field house
ReplyDeleteWhy should either use the football locker rooms during a game for a clothes change? Who do the dam drum majors think they are Diana Ross?
Losing 59-7 to a MEAC team at home? Are you kidding? Never happened under Billy Joe before they played around with his program. Division 1? Right! Billy Joe back in the press box, calling plays and dominating the MEAC, black college football and challenging the top D-1AA programs. Sounds good to me!
ReplyDeleteA Florida Classic Cheer!!!
ReplyDeleteCastell...Gotta Go!!!
Bring Back...Billy Joe!!!
Repeat over and over
