The Florida A&M Women's Volleyball Team wrapped up regular season play in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference here Monday evening with a 3-0 (30-8, 30-8, 30-20) win over Bethune-Cookman College in Moore Gym.
FAMU (17-6, 10-0) extended its' MEAC regular season match win streak to 91 with Monday's victory, which also boosted its' current season win string to 16.
WHAT'S NEXT: Florida A&M play for the 2006 MEAC Championship, Friday and Saturday, November 17-18 at Hampton (Va.) University.
•A win would be the sixth straight title for the Lady Rattlers and would send them to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in the last seven years.
Coach Carter named to Hula Bowl Staff
Florida A&M head football coach Rubin Carter has been named to coach in the Hula Bowl All-Star Game on January 14, 2007 here at Aloha Stadium.
Carter, in his second season at FAMU, will work with the West All-Stars, most likely tutoring the defensive line.
Wow! Coach Carter is going to work with defensive linemen for the Hula Bowl, something that he's neglected while at FAMU.
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS COACH
ReplyDeleteHow Coach Trifonov has not been picked up by another school by now is baffling. Our V-ball, however short handed, could beat 95% of the other squads as of last season.
ReplyDeleteHope there's no band there to distract the team....

I'm sure that was sarcasm 6:41p, the band has been to a few matches. This team is grossly overlooked and better measures for attracting support for the team's game attendance is alarmingly late. We must do better. I have already started making omore efforts to at least stop by a softball game as well other sports. Sometimes because I just need some Rattler Spirit.
ReplyDeleteWhen will FAMU employ people whom love the concept of being a rattler. Also they do not mind doing their job. FAMU employees must recieve the messages students enrollment plays a role in their employment.
ReplyDeleteI'm a faculty member at the university. I work very hard in and out of class to give the students the very best. But we get absolutely no respect and support from the administrators, including those in our own departments and division. The general public, which has no inkling of what we do, does nothing but complain and criticize all the time. If it weren't for the students, who, by the way, I enjoy teaching and mentoring, I'd pack up my bags and leave in a jump shot. It's the students that keep the faculty at that university, certainly nothing else. We try and nuture these kids, many of whom are first-time college attendees, but we get nothing but more work piled up on us and a whole lot of criticizing to go along with what we do. Whatever we do, it's never enough.
