Rattler Nation joins much of America in mourning the loss of a true American Icon --- Jame Brown, the godfather of soul. For much of his 73 years on the planet, he had his own style of music, dress, and life.
With a career spanning some six decades, James Brown was a bridge between the past and the present, a legend in his own time. He inspired everyone from Mick Jagger to Michael Jackson. Popularly known as "the hardest working man in show business," James Brown performed until the very end. He was scheduled to play Times Square on New Years Eve.
He was a rare breed, now almost gone. He will be missed by many.
James Brown belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Black Music.
ReplyDeleteYes, he does. I remember when he performed "The Big Payback" in Gaither Gym back in the day.
