The Florida A&M Men's Basketball team dropped conference foe Delaware State on Saturday, to snap the Hornets seven game winning streak. FAMU beat Del. State The Florida A&M Men's Basketball team dropped Mid-Eastern Conference foe Delaware State 73-69.
In an evenly paced first half, FAMU (12-9, 7-2 MEAC) shot a blazing 68.0 (17-of-25) percent from the field, whereas DSU (12-7, 7-1 MEAC) shot 56.5 (13-of-23) percent.
At the halfway point of MEAC play, FAMU moves into sole possession of second place with a conference record of 7-2. The Rattlers a half game out of first place behind MEAC leader DSU at 7-1. There is a three way tie for third with Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T, and Morgan State all at 5-3.
In the opener, the Lady Rattlers fell to the Lady Hornets 57-53.
