The Florida A&M Student Senate passed a resloution to official endorse NCCU Chancellor James Ammons in his bid to become the 10th President of FAMU. The Student Senate joins the FAMU Faculty Senate and the National Alumni Association in backing Mr. Ammons.
Student leadear are expected to formally announce their support for Ammons at a press event today at 12 noon in front of the Student Union Building. The FAMU Board of Trustees are expected to select FAMU's next leader on Thursday, Feb. 1.
The only stakeholder group that hasn't endorsed Ammons is the BOT, and we'll see what's up with them tomorrow.
