At least six staff members of The Famuan, Florida A&M University's campus newspaper, have been paid, editor Alaythia Burkins said Tuesday.
All the staffers have returned and are working in a "limited capacity," Burkins said.
Earlier this week, all but four of the newspaper's 19 staff members decided to strike because they had not been paid since the beginning of the semester.
Burkins said the payroll issue is a "matter of accountability."
“It's an embarrassment and a disgrace," she said. "There are some fingers that need to be pointed.”
The university still isn't sure why student workers weren't paid.
