Natalye Paquin, a 1981 graduate of FAMU, is currently serving as the Acting President & COO, of the Kimmel Center, Inc.
The Kimmel Center, Inc. is a Philadelphia performing arts leader as a non-profit organization that owns, manages, supports and maintains the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts as well as the Academy of Music which is owned by the Philadelphia Orchestra Association. The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and the Academy of Music serve as the home to eight Resident Company performing arts organizations including The Philadelphia Orchestra, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Ballet, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, American Theatre Arts for Youth, PHILADANCO, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society and Peter Nero and the Philly Pops. Kimmel Center, Inc.'s mission also includes arts in education, community outreach and a rich diversity in programming through its Kimmel Center Presents and Cadillac Broadway at the Academy series of performances.
In addition to her role at the Kimmel Center, Natalye was recently elected to the board of directors of the National Penn Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: NPBC), and National Penn Bank.
Paquin is an attorney with 20 years' experience as a senior manager with public sector organizations in Philadelphia and Chicago. Prior to joining The Kimmel Center in 2006, she was executive vice president and chief operating officer of The School District of Philadelphia, where she oversaw and directed the day-to-day operations of the seventh largest urban public school district in the country. Her experience also includes serving as chief purchasing officer of the Chicago Public Schools as well as managing deputy commissioner of the Chicago Department of Transportation.
Wayne Weidner, chairman and CEO, National Penn Bancshares, called Natalye "a skilled and seasoned leader who has extensive experience in operations, strategic planning, budget management and other areas in large and complex organizations. We are fortunate to have someone with her talents and background on our boards."
Paquin received a bachelor's degree from Florida A&M University, and a Juris Doctor from DePaul University's College of Law in Chicago, Ill.

Yes, she would be good to replace any of the three or four needing to resign. Especially Challis Lowe. Hell, she's more accomplished than Debra Austin. There are others out there like her. It's time for a MAJOR Convention of Rattlers. Maybe she could help with FAMU High and other atrs and fundraising events.
ReplyDeleteWOW!, is right. This young talent could run anything from a University, to a Hedge Fund. I think she's more needed at the Miami-Dade Public School system.
