FAMU freshman Antoine Gordon, of Bowie, MD, was killed in an automobile accident on I-10 on Sunday near Live Oak when the driver of a Ford Escort he was riding in fell asleep. The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. Two other FAMU students were injured in the accident, one remains hospitalized in Jacksonville and the other has returned to campus.
Gordon was a business administration major.
My condolences to the family and friends.

Prayers to the family
So sad. Let's keep the family of this young man in our prayers and pray for a speedy recover for those injured.
ReplyDeleteMy, my my. The phone call to the young man's parents, at that time of morning--assuming his parents were immediately notified--is the call that no parent wants to hear. My condolences.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to the friends and family.
ReplyDeleteIf brother Gordon's family is reading this please accept my condolences. We are all grieved at our loss.

ReplyDeleteTo the Gordon Family:
ReplyDeleteThis is very shocking news to all of us and please except our hearts and prayers go out you and yours at this time of sorrow. My son, Demerius played little league basketball with Antoine and my husband was the team's assistant coach for "Good Luck" & we all are deeply sadden from this tragedy.
Love,
Coach Reggie and Family
We are so sad. The FAMU family shares your grief. My prayers are with you (to the family and friends of Antoine). I pray that God give you peace and that you find comfort in God's ability to give you strength through the difficult time. Your memories of Antoine will always be beautiful. I was one of Antoine's Resident Assistants (RA). He was a kind, mannerable and likeable young man. He will be missed. Please try to stay strong and let your loving memories of the time you shared with Antoine be a comfort to you. He had a beautiful smile and a beautiful heart, I'm sure that's what he'd want you to remember. Know that your suffering, in some amount, is shared by those whose paths he came across. May God richly bless you, I pray that Jesus carry some of your burden at this time. Amen.
