Athletic Director Bill Hayes has only been on the job less than ten days and already he has fired three key administrators within the department.Gone are Joe Durant, Facilities Coordinator, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Operations and Compliance Robert Raines and Associate Athletic Director of Academic Services E. Dwayne Robinson.
Hayes said their responsibilities for all three positions will be reassigned to staff within the department already.
"We are in the process of restructuring our administrative staff as we continue to move forward with our goals to become a better athletic department," Hayes said Wednesday. "We will continue to look to make the necessary changes to improve as a department and to improve how we serve all of our athletic programs."

How about the two that are over ticket sales and fund raising, they really need to go. They ran when it was hot once before. They were here before and brought back by Townsend. (MC and CS)

ReplyDeleteClayton Smith was here when Townsend was here back in the '80 and got fired for stealing AND WAS OVER TICKET OPERATIONS. Then he was with the Charlotte Hornets and got fired for stealing AND WAS OVER TICKET OPERATIONS.

MILLION IN TICKET SALES again yea right the janitors trashed the receipts. Ha Ha Ha and you have him running your Ticket Operation, Marketing, sponsorships can you immagine him sitting up there talking to potential givers.

Ok lets look over this again - Dwayne Robinson Fired from FSU and Thank God the little do nothing was fired from FAMU. Robert Raines Fired from Alcorn and Thank God Fired from FAMU. Clayton Smith FIRED FIRED Fired! Okay Hayes your turn Fire his A$$! He dont do Sh!t either. and Mickey fired from Student Activities, Fired as a Coach, flunking as a Booster Director again Hayes.....!

THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT NEED A WINNING PROGRAM NOT JUST ON THE TRACK, FOOTBALL FIELD, COURT, OR THE DIAMOND!!! IN THE OFFICES AS WELL. DONT LET THESE PEOPLE THAT TOWNSEND BROUGHT IN CONTINUE TO TAKE DOWN THE DEPARTMENT... BRING OUT THE "WILD BILL" AND YES! THEY ARE PLOTTING STILL..... Wild Bill Hayes has some dirty laundry also.Harassment charges at Winston Salem, and NCA&T.And a heavy drinker. FAMU Athletics still has some major problems.The Alumni were contacted about Bill Hayes and other hirings ammonns made that were not justified. Soory but I will not be sending one red cent.

ReplyDeletePlease look at how you can contribute to the program by contributing the Athletic Program for the Student Athletes and to Build the Program... That's a cheap shot to say that about the AD when he did an awsome job at North Carolina Central and in his coaching days... The others DO need to be cleaned out of the athletic department, but
Mr. Hayes has a plan to build this program be on board instead of the bash board...
It TAKES MONEY!!!!! to run any program and he is on the right track to re-building this program.....

Wake up, your talking like your in a coma. Don't be taken by surprise because ammons hire a new AD. You need to call the places the AD has been and check the resources. You and the Alumni of FAMU will be ashame.
