Praise Him in Song!
These two clips --"Great is Thy Faithfulness" and "What A Mighty God We Serve"-- from the highly acclaimed Morgan Choir lift the saviour up in song. The Morgan Choir, from Morgan State University, is in a class by itself and is arguably the Marching 100 of choirs.

ReplyDeleteThey're okay overall. Their leaders were nice on the runs, but that first young lady's virbato was terrible when singing in a striaght tone. The whole classical/gospel choir thing has been done better by other universities. As for the top college straight up gospel choirs, FAMU and Howard would be those. The BCC Coral is very good at the classical/gospel choir thing as well.
ReplyDelete^I agree but you also have to add the throwback version of Fisk University's Jubilee Singers.
ReplyDeleteThe Morgan Choir isn't a gospel choir so comparisons to the very loud FAMU gospel choir are totally unfair.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with whoever that was that mentioned Fisk Jubilee Singers! And I agree that Morgan state as a classical choir or chorus was nice, but not great.
