Debra Clark, women's head basketball coach, is now free to move about the country... Athletic Director Bill Hayes announced yesterday that the University would not be renewing Clark's contract and that a committee would be appointed shortly to conduct a search for a successor.
Clark compiled a 100-109 record in her seven seasons at FAMU, never making it to the upper half of the MEAC. This year's Lady Rattlers got off to a 9-1 start, before struggling to finish 14-17 overall.
Coach Clark will be employed somewhere else, where a school will respect her.The school needs get of drunking bill hayes and all those harassment charges.
ReplyDeleteCoach Clark was more than respected and compensated at FAMU. She just couldn't win, because she flat out can't coach !
ReplyDeleteRemember that time her salary was adjusted from $85k a few years back to $125k, because they wanted to give Coach G a raise? She didn't earn a raise and but she got one.
Also, coach clark never got beyond the 2nd round of the MEAC tournament. Maybe she'd be successful at a high school somewhere.
Could we please stop with the libel on here? If you want to make allegations of illegal conduct, then go somewhere else! Looks like it's time to start deleting posts, again.
ReplyDeleteShe is a very nice person, but she isn't a very good coach. I wish her the best in the future. When you make over 100K and you have the full allotment of scholarships, you must win on a consistent basis.
ReplyDeleteSince you're a lawyer and you mention something about libel and illegal conduct. I have a copy of the charges it's public record. Mr. Libel, do your homework before you write a statement.Don't be blind by orange and green.
ReplyDeleteShe was a very nice person and very compassionate about her girls and the program, but at the end of the day she wasn't successful professionally. I commend the decision and wish a policy of some sort could be implemented campus wide that made all staff responsible for delivering results within their respective job descriptions.
ReplyDeleteToo often the campus gets caught up in the personality of people and not their work habits or track records. Many people across campus get by on being nice, but hold back FAMU in many of its endeavors because they simply are not good at their jobs.
I hope the coach finds success elsewhere and I hope this sends a message to all the lack luster A&P (and otherwise) employees that a new day is coming......hopefully.
You don't have a copy of anything. If you actually had a copy of any charges, you would have posted proof.
ReplyDeleteQuit coming this site to spread libel!
What are some of the charges pending against Hayes? Put up or shut up!
ReplyDeleteMr. Libel do your homework, call or go to the Winston salem and greensboro, nc county courts and you will get you information you need.Or anybody on those campus in Administration will get you the information.Don't be dumb.
ReplyDeletecall or go to the Winston salem and greensboro, nc county courts and you will get you information you need.
ReplyDeleteThere's your answer. This person got information from the rumor-mill. He said, she said, there were some documents available somewhere.
You said you had documents. Yet, you won't post them. It's very simple to scan documents at any public library and post them online anonymously. However, you can't do it because you don't have anything.
You've been discredited as a liar. You have no credibility here.

ReplyDeleteMr. Libel, this time next year don't be suprise Bill hayes will resign for unknown reasons.I guess when that happens Mr. Libel, you will have your mouth open looking crazy.
ReplyDeleteAll that news article said was that people were mad because of a lost football game. It doesn't say anything about any illegal conduct. You are attacking his reputation without one shred of proof to back up your claims!
ReplyDeleteIt's really sad when people come onto this blog to malign people without any evidence.
Bill, welcome to rattler nation--where we build you up to tear you down.
ReplyDeleteHayes hasn't seen anything yet. Just you wait until ball clubs start losing. This board is going to light up like a Christmas tree, and folks will be ready to run him out of town just like Castell was run out. Just you wait and see.
ReplyDeletebil hayes was glad to leave north carolina, because some issues was getting hot.It will come out later. Why would you leave your home state where you were born and raised to come to tallahassee. It was not because of salary.
