The FAMU Athletics Department will debut it's new President's Club @ Bragg Stadium on August 30th at the Rattlers -vs- Alabama State football game. The new club will be a private tailgate area for qualified Boosters, 1000 Strikes members, and other high-level donors.

The "Club", which is built on a new concrete slab, is expected be tented, and will have chairs, tables, and music. Guests will be able to exit the club and head directly to their seats via a new stadium entry point.

These donors will be "wined and dine sufficiently" prior to Rattler home games and be able to rub shoulders with the President.

"The President's Club will usher in a new and inviting atmosphere for athletic donors," said AD Bill Hayes. "I'll be fan friendly and exciting, but certainly not free."

The new addition to Rattler football Saturdays is located on the press box side of Bragg Stadium just to the left of the elevator. Not surprisingly, the Club is located right under the newly installed 1000 Strikes donor board.

  1. Now we're starting to act like a grown man's college football program. You certainly wine and dine all the big money. If you're jealous, pay up and come on in. At the rate we're going, it won't be long before it takes $5,000 to join this club.

  3. Slap a parking garage around Bragg and most of us could walk to our seats. Place the upper deck level on the top. Reinforce the the bowl. Media up the outside of the garage and maybe place a few FAN oriented parcels inside of it. This alone will help with capacity, parking for the New teaching gym and Bragg, alocations for display and business areas(nialia and a banking location, resturant, screening room-you name it). Shuttle ramps, new look and feel. Connect it to the Mike Long Track complex for pedestrians with a RattlerRamp(for SnakeWalk etc.) over Whanish way and Gaither parking. This all costs, but our creativity determines the cost in money. Bundle creative ideas and communicate. This can bolster support. Anything is possible.
