Outlook publisher named Communicator of the Year

Roosevelt Wilson, Capital Outlook publisher, was recently recognized by the Capital Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association as "Communicator of the Year", for his work to address important community issues.

A retired journalism professor at Florida A&M University, Wilson has been in the communications field for 40 years. His award-winning newspaper has a national reputation and he is a recipient of the prestigious Sally Latham Memorial Award from the Florida Press Association.

Wilson also has won three writing awards from the National Newspaper Publishers Association.

PRSA awards the honor each year to a individual who uses his or her position to build community awareness, understanding and support of local causes and issues.
