The FAMU Rattlers (4-2) racked up 434 yards of total offense to WSSU's 81 yards enroute to 23-0 victory before 15,448 fans in Bragg Memorial Stadium and a national television audience on ESPNU. FAMU held the Rams to a total of four first downs, all in the first half. In fact, the Rattlers only let the Rams pass the 50 yard line twice in 60 minutes of play.
The Rattler offense scored on three of its first five drives, all three drives were 70 yards or longer. The Rattlers kept the ball for a 40:47 minutes to WSSU's 19:13. Looking back, it seemed WSSU's band stand on the field longer than their offense.
