With the motto “Meet, Greet, and Give,” the Young Alumni Giving breakfast is inviting recent Rattler grads to enjoy a delicious sunrise meal and soulful inspiration on the morning of President James Ammons’ inauguration.
Scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2008, the event will take place in the Residence Inn by Marriot. The site stands directly adjacent to the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center, where Ammons will be officially installed as FAMU’s 10th president at 10:00 a.m. that day.
Marcus Knight – recently elected the first black mayor of Lancaster, Texas – will deliver the keynote address. Knight is a 1996 honor graduate of the School of Business and Industry who also serves as chief operating officer of his family’s successful residual waste hauling company.
Tickets cost $50 and are available at the YAG website. Proceeds go to the FAMU Foundation.
