From the sounds of Tuesday night, you would have thought that the entire FAMU campus had won the lottery. All around the Eternal Flame, a group of nearly 3,000 FAMU students cheered, danced, and sang as they heard the news that U.S. Sen. Barack Obama was their new president-elect.
This video comes courtesy of the The Lens of a FAMU Student and is one of many the blog has posted from that historic evening in the Quad. You've got to excuse the first few seconds. Apparently, jubilant students were bumping up against the camera-holder.
