FAMU tennis stomps Norfolk State on its path to MEAC championship match

The FAMU men’s tennis team rolled over Norfolk State Spartans 4-0 in the conference semi-finals in order to advance to the championship match. The game, which will take place today, will pit FAMU against nemesis South Carolina State, who defeated the Rattlers during last year’s Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) final.

Team member Zach Evenden said the Rattlers did a great job keeping their focus against a tough opponent. 

“I feel [the match] was very tough today,” Evenden said. “We beat [Norfolk State] in the conference match very, very easily.  Everyone came out and did their job in that match, and I think there was a lot of pressure to come out and do that same thing today as easy as possible and get ready for tomorrow. ”
