The game will air live at 2 p.m. on ESPN Classic and ESPN3. It will re-air on ESPNU during a time slot to
be determined and announced at a later time.
Mark Neely will handle the play-by-play, while former
All-MEAC quarterback and Howard University alumnus Jay Walker will serve as the
analyst. FAMU graduate Tiffany Green will handle sideline duties.
The Wildcats (8-3, 5-2 MEAC) are coming off a 40-35 setback against Hampton in their last contest, but still have a chance at winning a share of the fourth Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) title in five years under head coach Brian Jenkins. While the game itself needs no hype, the Wildcats will be seeking a victory in order to keep their postseason hopes alive for either an automatic qualification or at-large berth to the Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs for a third consecutive season.
In a series dominated by FAMU, it has been Bethune-Cookman
that has dominated the series over the past 12 years. In that span, B-CU has
won seven times, including the last three consecutive. The Wildcats have never
defeated the Rattlers four consecutive times, and will look to achieve the feat
on Saturday. However, FAMU leads the series by a 49-18-1 count, in a series
that dates back to 1925.
