The 42nd president of the United States will visit Florida A&M University tomorrow to stump for his wife’s bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Bill Clinton, who served as commander-in-chief from 1993 to 2001, is scheduled to lead a “Get Out the Vote” rally at the FAMU Hansel E. Tookes, Sr. Student Recreation Center at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Attendees will be able to enter the center at 11:30 a.m.

“President Clinton will lay out what's at stake during this election and why Hillary is the only candidate who can break down barriers that hold Floridians back, deliver results, and protect the progress that we’ve made under President Obama,” the Clinton campaign said in an event announcement on its official website.

Clinton last visited the FAMU campus in 2014 for a rally in support of Congressional candidate Gwen Graham. In 2012, Clinton endorsed FAMU alumnus Alfred “Al” Lawson for the District 2 Congressional race. Clinton also delivered a commencement address at the Al Lawson Multipurpose Center Teaching Gymnasium in 2009.

Back when he was the U.S. president in July of 1998, Clinton asked then-FAMU President Frederick S. Humphries to run for Florida education commissioner (which was still an elected position at that time), but Humphries respectfully declined.
