Florida A&M University (FAMU) alumna, actress and
screenwriter Kelsey Scott has been nominated for an Emmy for “Outstanding
Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series.” Scott has received critical
acclaim for her role as Sierra on “Fear The Walking Dead: Passage.”
The School of Journalism & Graphic Communication grad
and Essential Theatre alum is also known for her role as Anne Northup in the
Academy Award-winning film “12 Years a Slave.”
Boasting a long career in both television and theater, Scott
has also appeared on hit shows such as “Army Wives,” “How to Get Away with
Murder” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Scott began her screenwriting career when former Rainforest
Films partners and FAMU alumni Rob Hardy and Will Packer tapped her to pen the
Sony Pictures thriller “Motives.”
Last year, she gave the keynote address at the FAMU Homecoming
Convocation.
