The FAMU Rattler football team is off to its best start in MEAC conference play in since 2009, when Joe Taylor was the head coach. The Rattlers are 3-0 in the MEAC and 4-2 overall, and heading into week 7 are the number one team in the MEAC.
FAMU was picked to finish 5th, out of 10, in the MEAC preseason poll. The Rattlers have notched conference wins over Savannah State, NC Central, and Norfolk State. FAMU faces its biggest test of the season this Saturday when the Rattlers travel to Greensboro, NC to take on defending conference champions, and preseason #1, the NC A&T Aggies.
