FAMU alumna sworn in as civil court judge in Osceola County

Gabrielle Nathleen-Patiana Sanders, an alumna of the Florida A&M University College of Law, was recently sworn in as a civil court judge in Osceola County, Florida.

Sanders earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and her juris doctor from FAMU Law in 2009. She was admitted into the Florida Bar in 2010 and went on to serve as an assistant state attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.

In 2018, she won the election to replace Osceola County Judge Heather O’Brien. On November 16th of that same year, she received the FAMU College of Law Distinguished Alumni Award.
