The FAMU Rattler mens basketball team crushed the Aggies of NC A&T, the number one team in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Saturday afternoon 62-39 yesterday afternoon in Lawson. The loss was the Aggies first loss in conference play this year and the fourth straight win for the Rattlers.
The Rattlers improved to 9-14 overall and 6-2 MEAC while the Aggies are 11-10 overall, 6-1 MEAC.
The loss dropped the Aggies from 1st place MEAC to 2nd place, while the Rattlers have a firm lock on 3rd place. Norfolk State moves into the number one spot in the MEAC.
Tracy Hector and Isaiah Martin each scored 12 points for the Rattlers. On Monday, the Rattlers take on conference foe NCCU (4th place MEAC) in the Lawson Center. The NCCU game will be broadcast live on ESPNU at 7 p.m.
