The FAMU baseball team swept a three game series from the Savannah State Tigers, in Savannah, played over Thursday and Saturday. Friday's game was rained out and moved to Saturday. The wins catapulted the Rattlers from fifth place to second place in the MEAC-Southern Division.
The Rattlers downed the Tigers 7-5 and 11-7 in a doubleheader Saturday, and 7-5 in Thursday's game to improve to 18-23/10-8 MEAC. The Rattlers are on a four game winning streak and have won seven of their last eight games. They have six games remaining.
