Heading in to the final weeks of the regular season, the FAMU Baseball team dropped three non-conference road games to the University of North Florida, 4-0, 10-2 , and 9-1 over the weekend.
In all, the Rattlers have lost five games this week dropping a 7-10 decision against Mercer U, and a 4-9 loss at Alabama State.
The Rattlers are now 18-28, 10-8 MEAC, 2ndplace in the MEAC South. They returnto Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play this weekend with a three-game Southern Division home series against North Carolina Central starting Friday.
Lady Rattlers split series with Cookman
The FAMU Softball team rallied from an 8-0 deficit Sunday to blow by rival Bethune-Cookman,11-8 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division series finale. On Saturday the Lady Rattlers dropped both games in their double header to the Wildcats.
Sunday’s win gives FAMU (22-25, 13-2 MEAC) a share of the MEAC Southern Division title along with Bethune-Cookman.
