The Rattler baseball team won a weekend home series against in state rival Bethune-Cookman this weekend two games to one. Friday, FAMU won game one of the series outscoring the Wildcats 6-5 in 10 endings. The Rattlers dropped the first game of Saturday’s double header 8-2, but won game two 6-4.
The Rattlers are now 15-23 on the season, while the Wildcats are 14-24. The Rattlers and Wildcats are both tied for third place in the MEAC South with a 7-8 conference record. With 8 conference wins and 4 losses, North Carolina A&T is in first place in the MEAC South. NCCU is second place at 6-6.
On Thursday, the Rattlers travel to Savannah State starting for a three game series.
