Lady Rattlers win HBCU Tennis Championship

The FAMU women’s team opened their fall campaign over the weekend by winning the 2019 HBCU National Tennis Championship at the Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Club in Atlanta.

The FAMU women competed against 12 other schools and captured the crown with 29 points. Xavier (La.) finished second with 22 points, followed by Jackson State (17), Alabama A&M (15), Johnson C. Smith (7), Bethune-Cookman (6), Morgan State (5), North Carolina A&T State (4), Grambling State (4), Shaw (3), Clark Atlanta (3), Bluefield State (1) and Southern (1).
    
FAMU's Aylen Hubeaut and Arielle Nealy won individual titles on Saturday.
