Today, FAMU advocates from all around the state will come together for FAMU Day at the Florida Capitol to solicit support for the 132-year old institution of higher learning, which is a viable component and contributing member of the State University System of Florida, and the highest ranking public HBCU in the nation.

The FAMU National Alumni Association, a sponsor of the annual day of advocacy for FAMU, is encouraging all alumni, students, faculty, administration, friends, and supporters to participate by meeting with their legislators and highlighting the excellent academic programs and services offered at FAMU.  Also, President Larry Robinson will meet with Governor Ron DeSantis in the Governor's Office during the 2 o'clock hour to discuss the University's priorities.

All Rattlers are asked to display their FAMU pride by adorning orange and green colors.

Because of the threat of severe weather and dangerous thunderstorms, FAMU Day at the Capitol activities will end at 2 p.m.
