FAMU has received 16 applicants for its Associate Vice President of Sponsored Research position it recently advertised to assist Vice President Charles Weatherford. The job posting says the successful candidate would advise the vice president in the formulation of policies and procedures to enhance the University's research goals, and design, establish and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's research program, research goals and objectives.
Additional duties, call for the associate to establish and implement short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies and procedures and increase external funding. The employment announcement calls for someone with vision and ability to advance the research agenda of the university.
