The FAMU Rattler basketball team defeated the SC State Bulldogs last night 61-56 to complete its first undefeated season at home in 31 years.
The Rattlers (12-14 overall, 10-5 MEAC) led at the Bulldogs 28-22 (11-15 overall, 6,8 MEAC) at the half, but surrendered the lead early in the second half before grabbing the lead for good.
FAMU men’s basketball team has gone 12-5 since December 21, 2019. The Rattlers are 20-8 at home under coach Robert McCullum.
The Rattlers who are ineligible for post-season play, again this year, will wrap up their season on Thursday at March 5thagainst in-state rival Bethune-Cookman.
