To help protect FAMU faculty and students from the COVID-19 virus and reduced the chances for a campus outbreak the university has taken several new measures. On Saturday, the university implemented a curfew for students living in on-campus residence halls and has introduced a COVID-19 self-assessment mobile app that enables FAMU students, faculty and staff to securely self-report any symptoms they are experiencing.

HOW IT WORKS
When you select the tool, you will be prompted to sign in with your FAMU user ID and password, which will enable you to take the daily COVID-19 self-check.
If the response is “CLEARED,” you are authorized to enter the campus based on your daily self-assessment.
If the response is “NOT CLEARED,” you should stay at home and do the following:
Get tested for COVID-19,
Avoid contact with other people,
Notify your supervisor or professor of your absence,
Contact your health care provider if you have any new or worsening symptoms
The self-reported information via the App is secured using data encryption and Amazon’s cloud hosting and security monitoring. Additionally, the self-reported information is confidential and is only available to individuals identified by Tanya Tatum, director of Student Health Services.
