The number of students at FAMU self-reporting positive COVID-19 results decreased dramatically last week.
According to the university’s dashboard, 16 students reported testing positive for the week ending Nov. 27, and two employees.
That compares to 69 students and four employees reporting positive tests for the week ending Nov. 20.
“A lot of our students have gone home for the holiday break, which is the most likely reason for the decrease in reported cases of COVID-19,” said Tonya Tatum, director of Student Health Services at FAMU.
“We continue to work with Leon County Health Department to track all reported cases that are associated with the university. “
