FAMU Trustees, on Thursday, voted to extend President Larry Robinson’s employment contract by one-year through December 31, 2021.
Florida Board of Governors (FBOG) regulations limit employment contract renewals for State University System presidents to one year. The new contract is subject to FBOG approval.
“Thanks for having the confidence in me to continue in this role for the next year. This is a labor of love for me. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to serve,” Robinson said after the vote.
Robinson was named interim president in September 2016 and named permanent president in November 2017. He served three stints as interim president before becoming FAMU’s 12th president.
