The Rattler baseball, yesterday, put together a solid game to fight off the Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles by a score of 9-6 at Moore-Kittles Field on campus.  The Rattlers were fueled by starting pitcher Josh Hancock who for kept the Eagles bats silent for most of the afternoon.

Hancock baffled the Eagles lineup all afternoon, holding FGCU to just two hits, while striking out four batters through 5.0 innings of work. His performance followed up a similarly dominant appearance last Saturday when he held Grambling scoreless for 5.1 innings.

At the plate, the Rattlers (4-14) cranked out 11 hits in total. Senior catcher Tucker Rayburn, had a huge day, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs. L J Bryant (2-for-4), Joseph Pierini (2-for-5) and Jared Weber (2-for-3) also had multi-hit outings for FAMU.

The Rattlers and the Eagles face off again today in a double header with the first pitch at 1 pm.
