FAMU advances to the HCASC final four

The FAMU Honda Campus All Star Challenge (HCASC) team advanced to the final four of the 2021 academic contest last evening by beating NCCU.  
 
FAMU is represented by captain Bryan Walters Anderson, a senior industrial engineering and economics student from Coral Springs, Fla., and team members:  James Tyler Wilson, a senior history student from Hudson, Fla.; Eliott Raphael Ford, II, a junior electrical engineering student from Dallas, Texas; and Linda Christine Williams, a sophomore chemistry and pre-medicine student from Trinity, Fla.  The team is coached by Vivian Hobb, Ph.D., a retired professor of english. 

FAMU will now take on the HCASC team from Alabama A&M for a right to advance to the final round. 

FAMU has won eight Honda Campus All-Star Challenge national championships, in the tournaments 31-year history, been runner-ups three times, and a semi-finalist four times.    FAMU last won the tournament in 2016.

Since its inception, FAMU has won $676, 500 in prize money.  The competition gets underway at 6 p.m. tonight on facebook.com/HCASC
