The FAMU baseball team dropped the first game of a crucial four game series to NCCU 10-4 in Durham, NC. The Rattlers (21-29, 15-10 MEAC) are looking to win the four-game series to hold on to the top spot in the MEAC Southern Division.
With the win the Eagles improved to (22-18, 14-11 MEAC) and No. 2 in the MEAC South.
Because of the pandemic, only the top two teams from the MEAC North and South Divisions will be invited to the tournament next week.
The Rattlers and Eagles will face off again today at 2 pm for a doubleheader. FAMU needs win two of its next three games in the series to stay on top.
