Bragg Stadium Phase I renovations are ahead of schedule said Heath Annin, President of Ram Construction and Development, the Midway, FL, based company in charge of the project.  Annin is a 1997 FAMU Construction Engineering grad.

This week work crews began replacing the east side of the stadiums’ new structural steel beams, floor plans (the walking surface) and the drainage system that goes with it.

Annin said, once complete the stadium will be a solid and should not have any issues with deterioration for a couple of generations.

The renovation project which began in late February will correct structural issues and bring the stadium up to current code and make modest improvements to the 67-year old stadium. The work will be done in two phases with the east side scheduled to be completed in time for the 2021 football season, and work on the stadium's west side commencing after the Rattlers’ last home game.

Bragg stadium was last renovated in 39-years ago in 1982 at a total cost of $4.2 million. Once completed the current project is expected cost $11,695,000.
